Just when I thought Autumn was well and truly upon us along comes a day like today. Blue sunny skies with a Summer temperature to boast, I headed straight down to the beach to catch a glimpse of the wonderful sunset. I perched myself on the rocks and watched the waves roll in, all the while, humming along to Bec Sandridge's tune 'Red Jumper'. Bliss.

Hailing from Stanwell Park in NSW, this lovely lady has created acoustic folk melodies that make you want to  run through a forest, play hopscotch, go on a picnic, build a cubby house with sheets, skip down the street, make a billion cupcakes, paint your nails a ridiculously bright colour, eat fairy floss on the Ferris wheel...the list is endless.

Her songs are so catchy and are sure to get stuck in your head! Luckily for us, Bec has all of her tracks available on itunes.

Enjoy...

In my previous post I mentioned that I was liking the smokey eyeshadow under-the-eye look. That was an understatement. Truth be told, I've been experimenting with the look ever since. I'm no makeup artist and luckily for me (and you) I've found Pixiwoo. Sisters Samantha and Nicola Chapman are UK based, professional make up artists by day and style bloggers by night. Their blog covers everything from basic makeup and skincare techniques to extravagant fashion week and celebrity looks. They also review and recommend the latest beauty products. Best of all they have video tutorials so we can all look like catwalk queens.

Meooow....

Furrrrrr....(faux)

Brightly coloured clutches. Those sunglasses aren't bad either!

A detailed necklace over a collared blouse

A warm coloured felt fedora

A fluffy dog cardigan

Eye shadow as eyeliner...I adore this look!

Tailored pants
A friend recently scored a pair exactly like these at the op shop. Jealous!

A headband as a beanie!

A mesh maxi skirt.

I actually found a skirt at the op shop and DIY'd my own a few months back. So comfy.

Just a few looks that I'm keeping in mind for when the cooler weather arrives*. Lately I've found myself looking forward to Autumn/Winter. A couple of years ago I met Yvan from facehunter when he came to Sydney. After a couple of days of observing Australian fashion, he came to the conclusion that fashion's worst enemy is a warm climate. I agree.

As sad as I will be to farewell the beautiful Summer warmth, it will definitely be nice to layer up once again.
